Let’s get this out of the way, COD Mobile: Season 3 – Cyber Mirage is crazy ambitious. And I mean that in the best way possible. I’ve been playing this game religiously since its 2019 launch, and trust me, this season? It’s something else.

We’re talking Wildcards in Multiplayer and Battle Royale, the classic M1 Garand, a fresh Battle Pass, and a ton of quality-of-life updates that should make the game smoother than ever.

This season, Cyber Mirage is going full Mad Max meets high-tech Operator fantasy. But is it all good news? Let’s break down everything you need to know before dropping in.

Wildcard System: A Game-Changer?

The biggest shake-up and easily the most exciting addition this season is the introduction of Wildcards, a system that COD veterans will recognise from the Black Ops series. It changes how Loadouts work, letting players tweak beyond the usual limitations and offering more flexibility in how you approach fights.

With it, players get extra perks, tactical items, or even a second primary weapon to take into ranked matches. Here’s how it works:

Multiplayer Wildcards

At Level 10, you unlock a Wildcard slot for your Multiplayer classes. These perks give you an edge by bending the usual class rules:

  • Bomber: Carry an extra lethal item (pairs well with Shrapnel), and is a great option for aggressive fraggers.
  • Tactical Shift: Get an extra tactical grenade. Combine this with Tactician for even more utility.
  • Perk Greed: Allows you to equip an additional Perk, as the name implies.
  • Overkill: Deciding which primary weapon you can take into battle has always been a tough choice. Not anymore; this wildcard lets you carry not one but two primaries.

Battle Royale Wildcards

BR takes a different approach: you start with one Wildcard and can earn up to three per match.

Some of the best ones include:

  • Hawk’s Eye: This card marks enemies you hit, making them easier to track.
  • Covert Action: Reduces footstep noise when you’re not sprinting.
  • Medical Kit: This heals you when repairing armor.
  • Quick Recover: Speeds up health regeneration.

If you ask my honest opinion, this is one of the best features CODM has added in years. It adds a new layer of strategy, especially in BR.

The only concern? Balance. Some Wildcards (like Perk Greed and Overkill) could be too strong in the current meta, so expect some tweaks in future updates.

New Battle Pass: M1 Garand & Wasteland-Themed Gear— Is It Worth It?

As you know, new season = new Battle Pass, and this one’s all about post-apocalyptic, wasteland-style content. Here’s what you get:

Free Tiers

  • M1 Garand Marksman Rifle: Finally, CODM gets this classic semi-auto Marksman Rifle with that signature ping when a clip runs dry. It’s absolutely fantastic for mid-range fights.
  • Molotov Cocktail (Liquid Flame): A new lethal with improved area denial that spreads fire on impact.
  • Vault Coins, Calling Cards, and more.

Premium Pass

For those willing to shell out CP, the Premium Pass includes:

  • Operator Skins: Look forward to signature looks like Farah – Sandstorm, Maxis – Sand, Knight – Junker Soldier, Wade – Mecha Mesozoic.
  • Weapon Blueprints: Kill enemies in grand style with the following weapon blueprints: Grau 5.56 – Knot Sling, ISO – Scrapfire, KN-44 – Rival, SVD – Static Burn, M1 Garand – Pipe Rifle.
  • Challenge Pass: Complete missions to unlock the R.A.P.S. Scorestreak, which calls in small explosive bots that chase down enemies.

And speaking of….

New Scorestreak: R.A.P.S.

One of the biggest highlights of Call of Duty Mobile Season 3 – Cyber Mirage is the introduction of the R.A.P.S. (Rolling Assault Pack System) Scorestreak. If you’ve played Black Ops III, you already know how devastating these robotic death machines can be.

Once activated, R.A.P.S. calls in explosive drones that hunt down enemies and detonate on impact. Unlike aerial-based Scorestreaks (Stealth Chopper or Swarm), these bots roll through indoor and outdoor areas, making them tough to escape.

This Scorestreak is unlockable through the Season 3 Challenge Pass, meaning you’ll need to complete missions and earn Challenge Tokens before redeeming it in the Exchange. Expect to see R.A.P.S. dominate objective modes like Hardpoint and Domination, where their tracking ability makes them a nightmare for defenders.

My take? If the R.A.P.S. are as strong as they were in past games, this could be one of the most annoying (or fun) Scorestreaks in CODM history.

New Themed Events: Ling Cage & Easter

If you’re super into anime, you might’ve heard of Ling Cage, a Chinese sci-fi series set in a post-apocalyptic world where humans battle against mutated creatures.

This event will let players earn exclusive rewards by completing challenges and collecting resources in Multiplayer and Battle Royale.

Here’s what’s up for grabs:

  • Kilo 141 (Baiyuekui Blueprint): A unique weapon skin inspired by Baiyuekui, one of the anime’s main characters.
  • Epic Charm, Avatar, Spray, and Calling Card: Perfect for showcasing your love for Ling Cage in your profile and loadout.

Like most CODM collabs, you’ll probably need to grind XP across different game modes to unlock these items. Be on the lookout for some event-specific missions to complete in Multiplayer and Battle Royale.

Easter Event: Hunt for Eggs & Unlock Secret Caches

CODM is celebrating Easter in its own explosive way. Instead of chocolate eggs, you’ll decorate and trade in-game Easter eggs to unlock rewards. Here’s what you can expect:

  • PPSh-41 (Dead Man’s Custom): A slick new blueprint for the PPSh-41, one of the best SMGs in the game.
  • Secret Caches & Clandestine Strongboxes: Special loot drops containing cosmetics, XP cards, and other limited-time rewards.
  • 7-Day Login Event: Log in daily near the Easter holiday to get bonus event rewards.

Store Updates & Quality-of-Life Upgrades

The in-game store is getting a new Mythic LW3-Tundra Sniper, plus some Legendary Draws like:

  • PDW-57 – Wasteland’s End + Antonov – Badlands Crusader.

  • Mythic Sophia Operator Skin (still available this season).

Also, there’s the Call of Duty Endowment (C.O.D.E.) Stealth Pack, which supports real-life veterans. Buying this pack helps fund veteran job placements, which is a nice touch.

One of the biggest complaints about CODM has always been communication and visibility. Season 3 addresses this with:

  • Ping System: Finally, a way to mark enemies and objectives without using voice chat.
  • Improved Enemy Visibility: Outlines on enemies should make spotting targets easier.
  • New Graphics Settings: More control over visual quality for both MP and BR.

This is long overdue. The ping system alone will make solo queue more bearable, and the visibility improvements should help with spotting campers.

Final Thoughts: Is Season 3 Worth the Hype?

There’s a lot to like about Cyber Mirage. The Wildcard system alone will shake things up in grand style, and the M1 Garand finally arriving in CODM is a huge win for classic weapon fans. Add in the new Scorestreak, Battle Pass skins, and game optimisations, and you’ve got a season that’s one for the books.

See you on the battlefield!
