The future is finally here, at least in Call of Duty: Mobile. Season 2 2025, with the headline Digital Dawn, is hot off the press, bringing a cyber-themed refresh the likes of Cyberpunk, Tron, or the Blade Runner movies would be proud of. It’s a future I particularly like, one with a remastered raid map, fresh tactical gear, and high-tech cosmetics. And even though I’m not a fan of shotguns, the VLK Rogue looks too good to pass on.
What’s this season like, though? If you’re wondering if Digital Dawn is worth your CP, let’s look at what makes this new season tick.
Multiplayer: Raid Remastered

Raid is a personal favorite regarding CODM’s list of maps, and that’s for the beauty of its close-quarters layout. Anyone who’s played CODM for a while knows Raid is a classic, and the iconic hillside mansion in the Hollywood Hills scenery is unmissable. But the thing about an iconic map is that it starts to get stale after a while; not much to see if you’ve seen it all, right?
That’s why the visual upgrade in Season 2: Digital Dawn is a breath of fresh air. It’s always been in great detail for the level of a mobile game, but now it’s better with improved foliage, better textures, and slicker water effects. And while it’s prettier, it still plays the same, so if you were worried about any sudden changes, there’s no need for that.
The sightlines are still intact, rotations feel similar and if this map was your playground before, nothing’s stopping you now.
New Weapons: VLK Rogue Shotgun & Flash Strike Tactical
The big gun this season is the VLK Rogue.

Again, I’m no fan of shotguns and rarely include them in my loadouts. However, I would make an exception for this one because it’s a delicate flower that packs a mean punch (as all bolt-action weapons do). I can tell you that it requires careful movement and positioning, but if you’re an aggressive player who likes to close the gap, you will definitely love it. On the other hand, it may not be your cup of tea if your MO is more attuned to spraying.
And it’s still only been one day, but the VLK is on its way to becoming the fastest shotgun in the game. With the right build, it has a 7.16 m/s sprint speed, beating the previous fastest (HSO405 at 7.09 m/s). I can’t wait to see what this can do in BR matches! Of course, we also have to consider that going all in on speed will affect the mobility of the weapon, so there’ll need to be other tradeoffs, but combining the VLK with Speed Up After Kill and Restock (which now has a 15s cooldown) could make the weapon a real problem.
There’s still a lot of time to experiment, so I’m pretty sure the right balance for the VLK will be found soon.
Flash Strike Tactical
Then there’s the Flash Strike-Tactical, which has the potential to be a game-changer in the right hands. It drills through hard surfaces before flashing enemies, so cover is no longer an obstacle to your wins. If used smartly, it can force campers out of their hiding spots, which to me sounds like a gift from the heavens (campers are a real issue).
Events & Rewards
Every season comes with its own rewards and events to look forward to. Here’s what Digital Dawn has in store for us:
Shiba Feichai Crossover

You can’t ignore the Shiba Feichai crossover event in which the Shiba Strongbox debuts. It has a dynamic weapon camo and other unlockables to discover, but I think the biggest draw is running around eliminating enemies dressed up as cyber Shibas.
Holi Event
Running from March 6th to March 26th, the Holi event is a colorful Battle Royale event where you can earn ‘color fragments’ to unlock camo packs and other rewards like the Secret Caches this season. For the cosmetics lovers, it’s worth checking out.
Challenge Pass
Does anyone remember playing off-road games like Rage Rally (in the early 2000s) or MudRunner? That’s the kind of vibe that the RC-XD upgrade brings. The offroad-themed RC-XD in the Challenge Pass reminds me of those a lot, and it’s pretty fun and promises to chase down all your opps, even in the roughest of terrains.
The Digital Dawn Battle Pass
If you’re not spending CP, the free tiers still give you access to the VLK Rogue and Flash Strike Tactical, which are really good additions to your arsenal. Plus, you can get access to a few Vault Coins and blueprints.
Premium tiers, on the other hand give you the following:
- Operator Skins: Artery — Overwrite, Hudson — Shadow Agent, Blackjack — Black Hack, Umar Obi
- Weapon Blueprints: HVK-30 — Malware, SP-R 208 — Bot Sector, ICR-1 — Spyware, EM2 — Macro Virus, VLK Rogue — Ransomware
If you’re into legendary skins, the MG42– Black Mirror and Man-O-War: Doomfire Pulse are amazing blueprints to look out for. Mythic Sophia, a staple from Season 1, is also still available if you missed her before, and that’s one Operator Skin that will indeed up your battle experience.

Mythic and Legendary skins don’t exactly come cheap, so if you’re planning to get them, now’s a great time to take advantage of the 20% CP discount from the Carry1st Shop. Grab it while it lasts!
Verdict: Should You Play Season 2– Digital Dawn?
Short answer: Heck, Yes!
Long answer: if you’re a fan of Raid, shotguns, or cyberpunk-style aesthetics, this season’s got a lot to offer for you. And you should hop on right away.
The only drawback for me is that I’m yet to see any significant BR updates, which I’d hoped for, but it doesn’t diminish the value. Season 2 is about as fresh and refined as it gets.
Hope to see you out there!
