How Did You First Discover Minecraft? What Hooked You In?

Rikumei shared that it all started when he was just ten. A friend showed him the ropes with Minecraft Pocket Edition on his phone, and he was immediately obsessed. Not only did he fall for the game, but he even got his younger sister hooked. They couldn’t get enough of exploring that pixelated world.

What Do You Love Most About Minecraft? Survival? Building? Redstone?

It’s a tough choice for Rikumei, who loves both Survival and Creative modes in Minecraft. In Survival mode, there’s something thrilling about the grind of gathering resources, dodging monsters, and just trying to make it through the day.

Any Funny or Memorable Minecraft Moments?

One of the moments that stand out for Rikumei was when he was playing Creative mode with friends. They decided to prank him by setting his carefully built house up with explosives. He’d spent weeks working on that build, so you can imagine how angry he was at the time! But now, looking back, he admits it was pretty hilarious.

The African Landscape Is Gorgeous. How Does It Inspire Your Minecraft Gameplay?

For Rikumei, there's nothing like spawning into a lush forest biome in Survival mode. He finds the greenery calming and loves gathering all his basic materials there—wood, cobblestone, you name it. He’s inspired by Africa’s natural landscapes and hopes to bring some of that vibe into his future builds.

Built Anything Iconic from African Culture Yet?

Not yet, says Rikumei, but it’s definitely on his list. Minecraft is perfect for expressing creativity, and recreating African landmarks or cultural elements is a goal for the future.
